Camp BJE, is a summer camp program that will challenge children to wonder, investigate and grow while having fun out of doors.

Our camp counselors are experienced teachers from our preschool program, who are trained in every phase of early childhood and understand the different needs of each age group. All of our teachers/counselors demonstrate warmth and caring for young children and, as experienced pre-school teachers are looking forward to creating an exciting and fun-filled summer of exploration and discovery at Camp.

In addition to the experienced teacher/counselor in each group, there are camp assistants to help facilitate the many outdoor summer activities that are part of a camp program.

K’Ton Ton and B’Yachad (Parent Toddler)

Summer at Camp BJE will be a special time of year when parents and toddlers are able to explore together indoors and outdoors, with special friends and an experienced teacher. Creative movement, art, music, socialization and play in our outdoor setting are integral parts of each camp day. Riding toys, sand box play, climbing apparatus and water activities will excite both parents and children. Each day we will enjoy a summertime snack.

K’Ton Ton (Parent Toddler)

Camp BJE is a first camp experience for our toddlers. Campers and parents will enjoy our outdoor environment one day a week.

B’Yachad (Parent Toddler)

This Parent/Toddler camp investigates different themes each week such as: fun at the beach, transportation around the community, water play, life on the farm and playing safe. One session each week will be spent on a fun field trip in the community. These special trips will be related to the activities introduced prior to the field trip. We will have a wonderful time together going to Lambs Farm, the Fire Station, a train ride, the beach and more.

Yeladim Camp & Chaverim Camp

Camp BJE for our preschooler is a program geared primarily towards active play. Each day is filled with a multitude of different summertime activities. When you think of summer, you think of sun, water, sand and fun. Nature will provide the sun!! We’ll provide the wading pools and Water Park Twist’nSpout sprinklers, in addition to other water activities to keep everyone wet and happy. In our large sand boxes the children will be able to dig, create sand castles, build roads for miniature cars and more. Add in lots of bubbles and everything we do will be FUN!

Experimenting with many creative art media will be part of our summer too! Music, singing and dance, expressed in the out of doors will be silly, entertaining and new.

Themed weeks with special celebrations take place at camp. Down by the Deep Blue Sea, Hawaiian Luau, Under the Big Top and Happy Birthday America are highlighted with special festivities which include our fabulous 4th of July Parade and balloon launch.

Special appearances are made at camp by the Lake County Nature Preserve Specialist who brings frogs, toads, turtles and snakes! Plus, children will rock and roll as they are entertained by musical guest performers.

On days when the weather is inclement, we will provide for an active day indoors using our air-conditioned rooms for music, art and water play and a special room for gross motor activities.

Our summertime world will be seen through Jewish eyes. Shabbat in nature will bring an entirely new dimension to our love for Shabbat. Our Shabbat celebration will include each child in our Chaverim program baking an individual challah to take home to their families to share for Shabbat.
