SPECIAL WORKSHOP THIS THURSDAY

Prayer Weaving:

A New Way to Connect to Jewish Texts

A workshop with Linda Sonin

November 4, 2010

7:00 pm -8:30 pm

This workshop is for anyone interested in finding significant, personal touch- points in Jewish prayer. During this class participants will:


· Explorea selection of Psalms which reflects the themes of hope, comfort and thanksgiving.

· Selectthose verses which are most personally meaningful

· Createa unique art piece to take home.

This is a project that requires no prior artistic talent, just a willingness to try a new way to explore Jewish text. This class is for personal enrichment. The technique of Prayer Weaving can be used in junior high school through adult classes.

Cost: $10 for member schools, $12 non-members
